Get ready to start booking those holidays, Christmas is here, and its being fired at us like an arrow. Stats have shown this year that many tour operators have made a loss this year. The holiday’s district has not done very well throughout this year, mainly due to the recession, but also due to incorrect weather forecasts, indicating a warm summer in Britain.
Now however, tour operators are saying that Christmas will receive a massive influx of holidays because of the lack of holidays during the summer season. The Christmas period does receive a lot of attention forholidays any way. This means that there could be an increase in tourism sales this year, and could help bring some tour operators back into the profit margins they so desire.
So will theChristmas holidays start to flood in? Well the tour operators have been anticipating this so much that deals and offers are flying around everywhere. Looking at the figures for holiday bookings, it would seem that people want to use Christmas as a holiday away in the Caribbean as well.
The Caribbean does get a lot of tourist attention, but St Lucia and Barbados are among the most popular places to holiday in the world. In Fact they are even more popular at Christmas time. I find it strange that people would like to go to warm countries on a Christmas holiday. When I was younger and even now, the joy of a snowy Christmas always gave me such fun and excitement. When i think about Christmas time, my ideal one would be a white Christmas.
Do People really care about the weather anymore? Is snow all that important at Christmas time now, it seems that sun, sea and sand is more important. The sun and clear blue seas are what compel us to embark onCaribbean holidays. And maybe there is nothing wrong with this, maybe Christmas is just becoming another one of those days in the year!
